Kevin Morkassel
Kevin, his wife Traci and their daughters Kaitlin and Kelsey came to Salem to work with the church family in April 2007 after preaching in northern Illinois since 2002.
Prior to going into full-time ministry, Kevin utilized his marketing degree from Harding University in management and sales by working for Enterprise Incorporated.
As a student at York College and Harding University, Kevin pursued many evangelistic efforts: youth ministery, mission trips (Russia, Germany, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland), Bible campaigns, Lambda Sigma devotional director, and community service projects.
Since that time, Kevin served for 7 years as deacon in charge of youth activities at the church of Christ that meets in Crystal Lake, Illinois before making the decision to pursue pulpit ministry full-time.
Along with his pulpit work, one of Kevin’s strengths is in personal evangelism. Kevin eagerly offers to any interested parties individual and small group Bible studies in the home or at the church building.
While in Salem, Kevin and his wife, Traci, have become actively involved in the Salem Soccer Association, which has a strong emphasis on exercising strong Christian principals on and off the playing field. Kevin believes in promoting Christian principals through community involvement. Traci is actively involved in the Marion County community as a teacher's assistant at Racoon School. Traci enjoys serving within the church as a teacher in children’s Bible school classes and helping to coordinate church events and service projects.
The Morkassels look forward to being of service to you in your personal spiritual journey in getting to more fully know Jesus and His word.
